This helped my sister with depression (sub-clinical) and also increased her energy level. She really liked it. But remember don’t take this with your anti-depressant. Using your MD’s advice, you probably will have to slowly come off your medication and then start alternative treatment. Linda

Somtimes I get than way too… Until I started taking ginseng conbined with spirilina. The ginseng gives me the balance I need to stay healthy. It has a claming effect which reduces stress and at the same time it gives me energy. The spirilina gives me the vitamins and minerals our vegtables today lack due to over produced crop soil. Anyway… it makes me feel great. Healthy body-healthy mind
good luck to you… oh ,I have a friend who uses St. Johns Wart for depression . kelley — Kelley Greene Sedona SuperNaturals, Inc "Your Source for Healthy, Natural Products" 888.239.3558 phone 520.204.2476 fax http://www.sedonanaturals.com <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

You might consider discussing with your MD whether the antidepressant may be causing the lack of energy as a side effect. If so you may want to consider switching to an different antidepressant. Of course if you do so you run the risk of the depression coming back. Good luck. Hello Chaz, First it is important that you stay on your perscribed medication, while they are not a cure your medication will be helping your mood and allowing a more rational thought process. Many of the oils used in Aromatherapy can help in treating depression and have been proved in clinical trials to be effective in mild to moderate depression. Further there are oils that will help with improving your your energy levels. This will have the further theraputic effect of reducing the level of the depression too. All these oils will help in improving your energy level: Angelica, Aniseed, Basil, Bay, Black Pepper, Cajuput, Camphor, Caraway, Cardamum, cinnamon, Citronella, Clove, Coriander, Cumin, Eucalyptus, Fennel, Ginger, Hyssop, Lemmongrass, Niaouli, Nutmeg, Oregano Common, Peppermint, Pine, Spearmint, Tarragon, Thyme. of these I would personally go for Oregano Common {Origanum Vulgare}, and use it in a diffuser or a vapouriser. You will also need to check the conta idacations to ensure you are not going to exasabate another pre-existing condition. What is also great about using AT in this manner is that it is cheap too. Once you have the burner or defuser, along with the oil{s}, you have nothing more to buy and the oils last for a long time as well. >i suffer from mild depression. i take an anti depressent that helps with >the obsessive thoughts, but i lack energy. what can you experts offer me >in regards to lifting my energy level a bit?
